Thank you so much for your detailed videos. I had a great time setting up my Nexus and a very succesfull maiden ( 6 flights already) with no issues.. Soo looking forward to the next video regarding PID's and learning new things. I still need to get my Autorotation setup for my Kraken 580 using your setup, but will get there.. 10% throttle seems a little low for me but that might just be because I am not a fan of auto's hahahaha..

Is the fan supposed to turn on right as you plug it in? I just got one today and the fan won't turn on, and it keeps turning off while charging lol time to return.

I would like to see a similar feature to do a soft/slow spool up for a helicopter. I recently acquired an old flybar helicopter with a simple esc that has no soft start options. I’m used to modern FBL flight controllers, I’ve always used 3 flat throttle curves/governed head speeds in 3 separate banks- I’ve never liked the idea of normal mode/IU1/IU2.. I like to have the option of 3 separate headspeeds with no direct throttle/assymetrical pitch curves to mess with. With a soft start I could have bank 1 or “normal mode” just be a flat throttle curve (i.e. 50% throttle) and have the helicopter gently spool up before switching to a higher rpm. It would also be nice to have a gentle transition from one rpm to the next higher rpm without having the tail kick in flight. Low head speeds are great for practicing orientations, trimming the model, practicing collective management, gently breaking-in batteries, extending flight times and so on.

Again, great tutorial. I’m still not able to arm after watching this several times. Using a SAB Goblin 280 (havoc) 60A ESC. This ESC has no rpm or telemetry as far as I can tell. Only the ESC signal wire plugged into the ESC spot on the Nexus. I can get the motor to spool up under Motor override. However it will not spool up until 0% throttle pwm value is set to 1350. I’m baffled, I cannot for the life of me get the motor to spool up even after setting up my TX16s like yours (video 2). Is the RPM and telemetry wire required for this to work? Also dumbfounded why the motor won’t spool up at 1033. I have to move the slider half way for it to jump on when set to 1033. I’ll rewatch the tutorials and go at it again. I’m sure I’m missing something. Thanks again for the great support you offer to the hobby.

menu is way different.. for the tx16s. I have like 3 pages of lua script, no crossfire setup or at least no abbreviation i understand as crossfire

Excellent video/tutorial. I’m still having an issue arming the motor. I assume it’s because I’m not below 1000. I’m able to change my CH3 (PitCol) however I’m not able to change the Aux 1 below 1000. Any tips?

I never bother with wheel pants. Heck, one of my crack yak's wheels came off. Can't find it. I just too off the landing gear. Flies even better like that!

As much as I LOVE my 540XL, my CrackYak XL is even better.

Hello John, I hope you are doing well. i have the same motor AM600 together with AM116 the combo basically. however when i try to run this at full throttle, it cut the power around 80% which always cause the aircraft to crush. any idea why and how i can correct this? thanks

Is there a way of using the ch 9 gain function on a trim switch such as the T5 so you do not have to remember where you left the knob for the gain? I tried it by changing ch 9 to T5 but the trims did not do anything.

Owned an NV14 when it first came out years ago. Very nice to hold, the ergonomics are top-notch to me as a thumb pilot. Loved it esp since I could repurpose my vape batteries, but its OpenTX development was stunted for so long that I eventually moved on. Here are a couple of questions, coz I'd love to come back to it esp since I'm such a sucker for all-metal CNC hall effect gimbals. 1) Do the pots now have a tactile centre detent? 2) Are the 2x 18650s in parallel able to supply enough power to an external Radiomaster 1W ELRS module? Any limitations? The trump card of the TX16 is that it allows you to fully power the module directly from the 2S Lipo in the battery bay.
